• Imperative: secure and cold computer, Tails OS, Persistent Volume. 

• Generate seed: "Applications" > "Internet" > "Electrum Bitcoin Wallet" > provide name of wallet > "Next" > "Standard wallet" > "Create a new seed" > "Next" > note the seed and store it in a safe place (e.g. KeePassXC in Tails) > "Next" > retype seed> "Next" > choose password > "Next"

• Note seed info (e.g. in KeePassXC). Important information to note:

  • Seed ("Wallet" > "Seed");

  • Derivation path ("Wallet" > "Information");

  • BIP32 root fingerprint ("Wallet" > "Information");

  • Master Public Key ("Wallet" > "Information")

  • Electrum password

• Find wallet in Places: "Places" > "Home" > click on the three lines icon > "Show hidden files" > double click the folder ".electrum" > .double click the folder "Wallets": find the wallet.
